Self Improvement

Today was therapeutic. I unpacked a lot, emotionally, and discovered a lot about who I once was and why I likely do things the way I do. I am certain that I will continue to discover even more about myself as time goes on. I realized that this 30 day health sprint, that I have challenged myself to, can really be applied to all areas of life if you just take a little time each day to intentionally focus on it. Not only will you change whatever it is you choose to focus on, but YOU WILL CHANGE! It can be a bit overwhelming to work on several areas of life all at once. For the next 30 days I am focused on health, but maybe after this sprint, I will take another 30 days and focus on something else - finances, hobbies, my marriage, family, having more fun, organization - I could go on and on. I am excited to be starting with health though. I strongly believe that getting healthy will result in a stronger and better mindset, allowing me to greatly improve in other areas of my life. For the next 30 days, I am focusing on my health by drinking more water, ditching sugary drinks and processed foods, eating whole foods instead, and going to the gym 4 - 5 times a week. I am also trying really hard to focus on sleep - something I definitely do not get much of. I am on day 3 of this sprint and feeling great so far. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens in the days and weeks ahead.
